You put what in your hair?

So the other day when Macy was supposed to be taking a nap in our room, I went in because I heard her out of bed for the tenth time, and when I looked at her hair, I noticed it had a significant shine. It took me a minute to figure out what on earth was in her hair and she wasn't saying a word, but when I looked at the headboard and saw a tube of lanolin (thicker than vasoline) half gone, I knew what the mystery shine was. It was absolutely caked in her hair! Here is a picture during the bath where she had her hair washed 8 times - 3 with shampoo and 5 with dishsoap - none of which really touched the grease. So she went to the hospital to meet her baby cousin looking like a grease monkey! Mommy was a tad embarrassed - yes I do bathe my children.
When we came home, we tried patting baking soda in her hair.
That didn't work - but she did enjoy a little head massage from dad and felt like she was at the spa!
Finally, after some research on the internet, we turned to Corn Starch - a very thick pat down -
and it worked! A good way to make your hair look white we decided if you're ever needing to do that.
Oh, and Makenna didn't want to be left out from the crazy hair party - hopefully she'll stick with water for styling her hair though!
Another shampoo and Macy was pretty much looking normal, with a little extra shine- hopefully she learned her lesson on that one and won't be trying any new styling products for awhile!
